Councils for Voluntary Service network
The Councils for Voluntary Service (CVS) network consists of 55 independent organisations that provide a range of locally accessible development and support services to voluntary organisations across Scotland.

Volunteer Centre Network
Volunteer Centres (VCs) exist to help people volunteer.  There is a Volunteer Centre in each Local Authority area and they work with VDS to improve the volunteer experience.

Scottish Government

The Scottish Government is the devolved government for Scotland. The Scottish Government validated the Supporting Voluntary Action portfolio bid and continues to play a supportive role. The Scottish Government provides ongoing financial support to the network of Councils for Voluntary Service.

Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA)
COSLA is the representative voice of Scottish local government and also acts as the employers’ association on behalf of all Scottish councils. CoSLA validated Supporting Voluntary Action portfolio bid and continues to play a supportive role. A number of CoSLA member provide financial support to their local Councils for Voluntary Service.

Scottish Local Authority External Funders Officers Group
The Scottish Lottery Officers Group is a network of local authority officers who originally came together to support lottery applications and projects at a local level.  More recently the group has broadened to take a more general interest in working one to one with voluntary organisations.

Volunteer Development Scotland (VDS)
VDS works to advance volunteering in Scotland, increasing accessibility, scope and understanding of the value of volunteering to all involved. Link to VDS website

Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO)
SCVO works to advance the values and shared interests of the voluntary sector in Scotland. Click here to find out more
