Change Champions Round 3 Announcement
The SVA Management Group at their meeting on 23rd February 2010 approved funding for 5 Change Champion projects totalling £687,000.

Volunteer Friendly Award
This project will roll out Dundee VCs Volunteer Friendly Award good practice in working with volunteers to staff in Interfaces/CsVS/ VCs. The Volunteer Friendly Award project will provide Interfaces/CsVS/ VCs with the tools to increase their engagement of voluntary and community organisations in their areas.

Charity Law for Advisors
This project will roll out of Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations’ Council’s (EVOC) Train the Advisor course, to advisors of small charities across Scotland. This will enable voluntary sector Infrastructure bodies to provide high quality advice on charity law and regulation to small charities In addition, the project will design and deliver a Train the Trainer course to a small group of experienced trainers identified and recruited during the delivery of the Train the Advisor roll out.

Applying Good Equalities Practice
This project will roll out Glasgow’s Council for the Voluntary Sector (GCVS) mainstreaming of good equalities practices training to interfaces/CVS/VC/National Intermediaries across Scotland. Participants will be fully trained in how to mainstream good equalities practice into their work.

Planning Mentoring Scheme
This project will increase the knowledge skills and understanding of rural CsVS/Interface staff in the planning system (land use planning) enabling them to increase community participation in the planning system.

Independent Examination Change Champion
The Independent Examination Change Champion project will increase the availability of professional, quality assured independent examination (IE) to smaller charities by improving the capacity of the CVS Network and other national intermediary bodies to deliver such IEs. The aim is to develop the skills of individuals working within participating organisations and support them to deliver a professional service in line with OSCR regulations and requirements.
