Mission

To support people to take voluntary action to help themselves and others, and to bring about social change.

Objectives

SCVO will:

• ensure all people forming, changing and developing third sector organisations can access quality advice and support - through direct provision and by facilitating other organisations.
• support third sector organisations – through influencing policy, practical support and brokering collaboration – to contribute to creating a better Scotland, through public services and wider public benefit.
• connect people with ways to get involved with their communities – through volunteering, working, training, giving, and trusteeship.

In all our work we will strive to:

• maximise SCVO’s own effectiveness through evaluation and continuous improvement.
• take a inclusive and sustainable approach.
