The Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) keeps pace with and works to influence the fast moving policy agendas that matter to our members and the third sector in Scotland.

At a time when Scotland faces many challenges from public spending cuts to an ageing population, the third sector has a critical part to play in creating a successful and sustainable Scotland.

Of Scotland’s 45,000 voluntary organisation, two thirds are grassroots, operating on less than £25,000 a year and with limited staff. The views of these smaller organisations are no less important than those of their larger counterparts.

SCVO works closely with voluntary organisations, big and small, to understand what matters to them and to give them a voice with key influencers and decision makers.
