This section of the site contains all policy documents produced by SCVO.  Here you will find responses to consultations, papers prepared for SCVO’s Policy Committee, and briefings for Parliament as well as a variety of other policy documents.

 

SCVO’s responses to consultations are posted here as quickly as possible, allowing organisations to view SCVO’s response before the consultation closing date.  Current consultation responses will also be highlighted in the Spotlights section. 

 

In this section, policy documents are date referenced, enabling users to gain a fuller picture of the progress made on each policy issue over time.

Lobbying
Voluntary sector lobbying or participation is a way in which we can help legislators to make good policy, by letting them know of relevant information or concerns. The Scottish Parliament includes power sharing and participation in its founding principles and SCVO here provides information and advice on the many different ways of influencing and informing policy in the devolved institutions.
Devolved Politics
A detailed source of information on the Scottish Parliament and Scottish Government including many useful links. Essential Holyrood gives regular updates on what is happening in the Scottish Parliament, and information about new consultations of interest to the voluntary sector.
Future Scotland
What do you want for future Scotland? the National Conversation - why should it matter to the voluntary sector? Information and articles of interest on the constitutional debate from the voluntary sector and other sources.
