CIVICUS World Assembly
From 2006-2008 Scotland hosted the CIVICUS World Assembly, a forum for international civil society to get together, exchange ideas, experiences and build strategies for a just world.  SCVO worked with partners during this time to bring high-profile speakers and grassroots activists from all over the world to one platform in Glasgow. Now that CIVICUS has moved on to Canada, you can keep up to date with developments at www.civicusassembly.org

International Exchange
We regularly host International colleagues such as, Oyindamola Akinpelu from the Nigerian Network of NGO's who came to Scotland on a CIVICUS funded peer learning visit in April 2009.

For 5 weeks in May/June 2009 we are hosting an International Fellow of the European Foundation Centre, Ana Villa Uriol from the Observatorio del Tercer Sector in Barcelona.
