Description:
|
At the beginning of this new decade, we are faced with a multitude of crises: economic, environmental, social and political. So how should we respond, both locally and globally?
Civil society is where we as citizens act together to tackle their shared concerns. We do so through associations from voluntary organisations, trade unions, co-operatives, faith groups, campaign groups and social enterprise.
So at a time when we have been let down by the traditional guardians of our society and economy, could civil society now promote a more radical, transformational response? This is a unique moment for Scotland’s major citizen-led organisations to come together. The need for us to listen and act with a shared voice is now more urgent than ever. The time to act is now.
“"...this event is a unique collaboration between a broad coalition of Scotland’s major civil society movements..."
