BIG PROVIDES UNPARALLELLED OPPORTUNITY FOR SCOTLAND’S THIRD SECTOR
SCOTLAND’S voluntary sector development has been provided with an unparalleled opportunity as the Big Lottery Fund announced it has offered the Scottish Council for Voluntary Services (SCVO) £8.4 million to support for voluntary action in Scotland over the next five years. The offer is the largest ever non-statutory investment in the third sector in Scotland. The Big Lottery Fund, the largest of the National Lottery Good Cause distributors, believe that this award will meet rising ambitions to bring about a step change in the quality and strength of the third sector in Scotland. The offer is to fund a range of projects designed to bring about positive progress in the sector.
