The Improving the Volunteer Experience Project is one of three portfolio projects that are awaiting approval from the BIG Lottery Fund before they are progressed.  We will keep you up to date with developments on this.

PROJECT AIMS

To develop a collaborative Volunteer Centre / CVS approach to meeting the volunteer development needs of local voluntary organisations by building on the strengths of the respective networks to improve the volunteer experience.  The project will ensure:

• Improved access for local voluntary organisations to volunteering development support
• Improved quality of volunteer management in local voluntary organisations
• Improved support for volunteers in local voluntary organisations

FUNDING ALLOCATED £340,370

DYNAMIC INCLUSIVE COMMUNITIES OUTCOMES TO WHICH IT WILL CONTRIBUTE

• Voluntary and community sector networks offer better, more consistent and wider-reaching services
• Improved equalities knowledge and practice across the voluntary and community sector
• People and communities have more power over their lives and more say in decisions that are made
