In view of the lack of research into the extent to which voluntary organisations have introduced work-life balance policies and practice and the dearth of voluntary sector case study material, the Partnership Forum commissioned SCVO’s Research Unit to carry out a small scale survey in this area.
A postal survey of a sample cross-section of the sector was carried out followed by a series of focus groups
in 2001. A report of the
findings can be downloaded here and the associated case studies have been incorporated into the
Get a Life! guidelines.
