The Working Together Project
The main aim of the Working Together project is to promote better
work-life balance in the Scottish voluntary sector by:
- Encouraging employers, employees and their unions to work together to address these and other issues around which there is a common interest.
- This fits with the wider joint SCVO/STUC strategy which aims to improve employment practice generally in the sector by promoting partnership working and improvements in employment relations.
The project is focusing on four key areas of work:
-
Research into current practice in the sector, in relation to partnership working and work-life balance, and dissemination of good practice case studies.
- The development and dissemination of
guidelines and briefings on partnership working and developing work-life balance policies and practice.
- A series of
events, including a national conference and regional seminars for management committee members, senior managers and union representatives to promote partnership working and the development of work-life balance practice.
- The development of a website and
virtual forum to facilitate the wide dissemination of good practice guidelines and case studies and sharing of knowledge, experience and information.
